Silver futures up 0.42% as speculators create position

Silver futures were trading higher in the domestic market on Tuesday after speculators built up positions amid firm trend overseas.

Analysts said the rise in silver prices at futures trade was due to building up of positions by participants, tracking a firm trend overseas.

At the MCX, silver futures for December 2018 contract was trading at Rs 38520.00per kg, up by 0.42 per cent, after opening at Rs 38389.00, against a previous close of Rs 38359.00. It touched an intra-day high of Rs 38534.00 (at 14:40 hours).
