Nickel strengthens 0.66% on spot demand

Nickel futures were trading higher during the noon trade in the domestic market on Wednesday amid pick up in demand from alloy-makers at the domestic spot markets.

Analysts said expansion of positions by traders, tracking pick up in demand form alloy-makers in the spot markets, supported the upside in nickel prices at futures trade here

At the MCX, nickel futures for November 2018 contract is trading at Rs 762.10 per kg, up by 0.66 per cent, after opening at Rs 762.9, against a previous close of Rs 757.10. It touched the intra-day high of Rs 766.60 (at 13:06 hours).
